With chemical dependency and couples therapy experts Beverly Berg, Ph.D. and Ingrid Mathieu, Ph.D.
You’ve gotten sober, you have your path of recovery, and now you are ready for more.
Every sober couple battles with difficulties. Every sober couple has chronic patterns that keep disrupting their connection. This workshop specifically addresses the needs of sober alcoholics/addicts and their partners, whether sober or non-alcoholic/addict.
The Conscious Couples Recovery Workshop was designed by Beverly Berg, Ph.D. to help couples foster deeper and more connected emotional sobriety in order to derive more joy, security, and love with their partners.
With love and humor, Beverly and Ingrid help you to deepen your second-stage recovery process through experiential exercises with your partner. This three-day intensive offers a safe place to create a new path for intimacy, as well as giving you a practical, solid, and structured practice to take home.
The Conscious Couples Recovery Workshop takes a close look at how your relationship functions through eight different domains: trust; communication; assumption; dealing with resentment/anger/irritation; more/better/different sex; giving your partner amnesty and absolution; gratitude; and creating a renewed, conscious partnership vow contract.
The group setting normalizes the difficulties that being in a committed partnership bares. The Conscious Couples Recovery Workshop offers a very powerful experience for increasing self-understanding, partner understanding, and healthy connection. Learn simple gestures that create an ongoing, predictable connection and ways to repair the connection when conflict disrupts it.
If you are longing for more intimacy in your sober relationship, you are ready for the Conscious Couples Recovery Workshop. Give yourself the gift of more connection, more open communication, and more pleasure with your partner.
This workshop is for couples who are married or dating--straight, gay, or lesbian--and of any ethnic background.
This is a workshop where all sober partners want to be sober. This is not a workshop about getting sober, or deciding whether you want to be sober. It is for sober people who want to stay sober and grow inside their sobriety. If you are not that sober person, then this is not the right workshop for you.
